Malayalam film and television actor Dileep Shankar was found dead in a hotel room at Vanross Junction in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, December 29. As per reports, the cause of his death is not known yet and is still under investigation.
Dileep was a popular face especially in the Malayalam television industry. He did several serials such as Sundari, Panchagni and Ammayariyathe. He also appeared in films like Chaappa Kurish and North 24.
Reportedly, Dileep was in Thiruvananthapuram for shooting of the television series Panchagni. He had rented the hotel room four days ago and was not seen outside for the past two days. His colleagues tried to reach him multiple times but the actor didn't respond to their calls and they reached the hotel and asked the hotel staff to open the door. They found Dileep’s body inside the room.
